This 10K run begin’s at Newport, Rhode Island’s Castle Hill Coast Guard Station, one of the oldest stations in the country. From there you will pass Brenton Point State Park, winding your way along the water’s edge on Ocean Drive passing many of today’s modern castles. From there you will turn onto Bellview Avenue. Captains of Industry used to summer here in the late 19th century. During this period, many mansions were built for use for a mere 10 weeks a year, one larger than the next. This Newport 10K Mansion run will highlight many of these “American Castles” from yesteryear. Enjoy the run!
